Lord Protector

Post by CheeseKing on Tue Oct 14, 2008 10:56 pm

I say we elect Ron Paul as our Lord Protector, my argument being that we need one as badly as England needed Oliver Cromwell. Tell me why its a terrible idea or why my choice of person is terrible or... you have every right to agree with me. Twisted Evil

Would we then have Congress set up a court to try Bush the second for crimes against the American people?

I believe so. Try all the living ex-presidents as well.

Absolutely. Dissolve our current congress and then pick godly men who would uphold the constitution, but wise men, unlike the failed assembly of saints.

I think Ron Paul has lost that youth he once had when her served in our Air Force. I think he would be far better suited to a leadership position away from harm's way. We can use Ron Paul's motivation to fire up some young upstarts to lead the new model army. Pastor Morecraft can take the place of that Presbyterian minister that Cromwell always had around him. Oh, Jeremy Bailey could work at building us a new model army.

I seriously doubt our friend Ron Paul has the moral compass to do anything close to what Cromwell did.

I fear that we would end up with something akin to El Presidente for Life Ron Paul Castro.

I agree with your assessment of Ron Paul. He is a very courageous man and steadfast in his commitment to duty, but he holds that government is neutral. At least Cromwell would not allow anyone who was immoral or a non Christian to be in his army. That is why he never lost a battle and the tyrants of Europe feared him.

I doubt that he would end up president for life though.
