A Very Basic Question

Post by YoungStonewall on Sun Feb 08, 2009 3:31 pm

Lets hear it.

I say no, they punish the righteous and do not punish the wicked.

They fund and support child sacrifice (murder) here and around the world.

Absolutely not. Let's move to a monarchic country, like Monaco where no income tax exists and the laws are wonderful!

Re: A Very Basic Question

Absolutely not. Let's all stay here and do what we can to remedy the problem. No I am not suggesting militant action, at least not in the near future. I am suggesting that the Church has been asleep on the job for far too long, we need to make ourselves heard, we need to stop complaining among ourselves, we need to take our problems to those who have the power to change things. Talk to your congressmen! Email them, call them, write letters to them, take a weekend and go to their office and request an audience with them.
The whole problem is that we forgive and forget too easily. Americans have forgotten Terry Schiavo, have largely forgotten Roe vs Wade, have forgotten the Patriot Act, have forgotten a multitude of things. We need to make ourselves heard (in a responsible Christian manner) and do what we can to have things changed.

Re: A Very Basic Question

Mr. Eschen is a model citizen. He is too humble to state his many accomplishments, but with our current injustice system, you should do as he does, seeking reform in the church and the state. First off, he was seen to be a man after God's own heart and was made an elder in our church. Secondly he and my pastor have been seeking to reform our Presbytery (we are presbyterians) spending much time in pushing for justice in the local churches of California. We must support men like Mr. Eschen who will spend their time reforming our churches. He has also been elected as a member of the republican Party Central Committee. He has been spending time in directing how the Republican party should act in our local level. He is currently pushing to get prayer back into the committee, for the last cycle was filled with humanists and they removed the introductory prayer, leaving a silly moment of silence. He is also pushing for a "Hilkiah project" where Christians go and meet with their rulers and bring them a bible and for us Presbyterians (acknowledging the wisdom of the Westminster Assembly) bringing the Westminster Confession of Faith to them.

So not to be off topic (whoops) we have a very unjust government and we must do as Mr. Eschen does or support men like Mr. Eschen. Yep.

It refers to his birth year—the same as mine. Smile
