Re: Welcome new members
Hi Everybody! My name is Deborah, I am Derek's (and Dorothy's) younger sister.
Re: Welcome new members
I am an ordained minister of the Gospel in the PCA and serve two congregations in the Mtns. of SW Virginia. I am also known as Papa by a few of the members on this list. I come bringing wisdom of years and a theological education that should be helpful for the ignorant. I am a busy man so I will probably not post often, though I will try and keep and eye out for gross error. I think that it is helpful for you to learn to express and defend your views. Every generation must own orthodox theology or it will be lost. I expect to see godly decorum and humility in all discussions and debates...because that is what the King requires of His subjects.

Hi Everyone,
My name is George Williams (better known as "The Kingfish") and I'm sure I'm the old man of the bunch. I'm looking forward to conversing with yo'all in the future. I love the see the younger crowd get involved in these discussions. There may be hope for America after all.

Hey everyone, my name is Mike (Don't believe my screen name).
I like to ask questions that make people think, and I like questions that make me think. If any of my questions tick you off, you can blame Whiteandnerdy, because he told me about this.

Re: Welcome new members
Greetings! I suppose I am a fairly new member . . . all this time and I didn't know about this introduce yourself page. It reminds me like the first day of school where you get a bit nervous and don't know what to say. Umm . . . my name is Brian Eschen and uhhhh . . . I live in the best state in the union (every time I say this someone from Virginia informs me that they live in a "commonwealth") and I am married and blessed with three children and ummmm . . . Mitchell, I mean the cheese king
, invited me to join.
It has been a real joy for me to see so many young people wrestling with Scripture and applying it to political issues. Mind you I still consider myself young . . . just not as young as most people on here.

When did you move to Oregon, Brian?
And, since I'm here, I will introduce myself. My name is Jeff Eschen and I am Brian's younger brother (by 5 minutes). I am married and have 4 children. We live up in the beautiful Willamette Valley of Oregon. Brian invited me to join. I will be able to post more after April 15th. Keep up the good work everyone.

As a more formal introduction, my name is Mitchell james Costello. I live in California. I am currently 18 years old and am a happy gun owner. I love this website. I have a mom, a dad, a sister, an excellent extended family, and an incredible church family. I was invited by my friend Josiah and am a friend of his sister Katie. Brian is a good friend of mine and an Elder at my church. You are a great set of people and I'm glad to have this time to discuss politics with you guys.

Keep in mind that Jeff is a Californian . . . since when did you trade your home state little brother?

Greetings all: My name is Jeremy and I came by way of CheeseKing, aka Mitchell. I love the Constitution, though I don't know it as well as I should - and I'm finding that I love theology as well. I joined because Mitchell told me I could have my cake and eat it too if I did. Yipeeeeeee!!!!!
I happen to be the Virginian that reminds Brian Eschen that while he may live in the best 'state' in the union, I used to live in the best 'commonwealth' in the union, which, since 'commonwealths' are better than both 'states' and 'republics', I guess Virginia rules them all! Haha...no, seriously, what state in this entire union has more history (good history) than the Union?

-Stonewall Jackson, Robert E. Lee, etc etc.
-pivotal in the ratification of the Constitution (us and New York)
Naw, I just love Virginia. There's nothing like it on the whole earth. I am a little biased since I was born and raised there.

Amen to Elizabeth/Jessica. If all the southern states had fought like Virginia the south would have won the war! I too live in North Carolina so I'm unbiased as well.
"Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill. For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished. Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:17-19
