Women Leaders
Does everyone agree that women shouldn't be allowed to run for office? What if you had to either vote for a woman with whom you agreed or for a man who you knew it would be a disaster for him to be elected?
Re: Women Leaders
In the sixteenth century, they sure knew how to think of titles for books. One of my favorite is one by John Knox entitled The First Blast of the Trumpet Against the Monstrous Regiment of Women. That being said, it seems clear that the Bible calls men to be leaders. However, when men fail to be responsible, God raises up women to lead as a judgement on a nation (one of the best examples of that is Deborah the judge). That, I believe was the point Knox was making. I will have to look up the Bible verse that explains this principle in the civil realm. Of course we all know 1 Cor 11 and 14 along with 1 Tim. which lays out this principle in ecclesiastical government.

Re: Women Leaders
If I had to vote either for a woman who I agreed with or a man who would be a disastrous president,
*drum roll*
I would vote for the woman.
It's another "lesser of two evils" case where a righteous woman would be a better leader than a wicked man.

Re: Women Leaders
Out of principle I could not vote for a woman for president. I would rather not vote than cast a vote for a woman. No matter how qualified she might be, she still is going to respond as a woman (emotion over reason) in the high pressure evironment of the presidency.
NO IM NOT SLAMMING WOMEN HERE.
Just stating the facts about the way God made women different than men.
They are the weaker sex, and God made them that way for His glory, not for man's glory.
There are plenty of things a woman is far superior at, like nurturing a child, tenderness to the sick and hurting, caring for the heartbroken etc.

"The First Blast of the Trumpet Against the Monstrous Regiment of Women" is actually on my to read list - as on off topic, have you heard of the documentary of the same name?
Stonewall - What about an office other than that of president? (i.e. commissioner, representative, mayor, etc.) I know there have been several times in NC where the woman who ran was a much better choice than the man. As Brian mentioned, I would refer to the example of Deborah. In cases such as these, I would much rather vote for the lesser of the two evils rather than have a incompetent man in office.

All this talk about the lesser of 2 evils, is getting old.
That is what is wrong with America, american christians keep settling for the lesser of 2 evils instead of taking a stand on principle.
GROW A BACKBONE MY FELLOW CHRISTIANS, WE HAVE THE MORAL HIGH GROUND, STOP BEING WEAKWILLED PANSIES. GOD DIDN'T GIVE YOU A CONSCIENCE SO YOU COULD VOTE FOR THE GUY WHO MIGHT BEAT HIL-DOG. VOTE FOR THE BEST MAN FOR THE JOB THAT WOULD HONOR GOD INSTEAD OF MAN.

Re: Women Leaders
Amen, Stonewall! I agree 100%.
In a case where the government is elected, I would never vote for a woman president. I'd rather not vote for a woman in any other part of the government. The whole "equality" thing is rediculous. We know they are different, so do the liberals, why can't they accept that? I would never vote for a woman, if I had a choice between a terrible man and a "good" woman, well, I wouldn't vote at all.

Re: Women Leaders
I don't believe it is wrong per se to for a woman to be president. The Bible talks of not allowing a woman to teach a man. I believe that only applies to church leadership. However I do believe that in men in general make better leaders because of the way they 're made. I would not have any qualms about voting for a very qualified woman to be the leader of this country. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is someone who comes to mind.
2 more cents. Much more of this and I'll be broke

Personally, I think Ann Coulter would be a better president than lady Rice.

Re: Women Leaders
I haven't heard of her. I was not necessarily saying I thought Condoleeza Rice should run. I was just thinking that she's an example of a christian woman doing a great job as a leader in the government.
