The Georgia-Russia Conflict Empty The Georgia-Russia Conflict

Post by CheeseKing Tue Aug 12, 2008 1:49 am

Feel free to skip this introductory paragraph. The question is below....

Evil or Very Mad The Ruskies strike again. After their valiant 1812 victory, anarchism, nihilism, and an economic collapse came, arising throughout the century. The Tsars angered the socialists and communists who revolted in 1917, ending the country's sad attempts at fighting in WW1. The good times failed to roll and somehow the crazed Dictator Stalin came into power. He led the country to further economic ruin and devastation. Stalin's heart was broken in WWII as his good friend Hitler betrayed him. Stalin gladly fought back and busily executed his old friends, fearing possible betrayal in the near future. The war ended, Stalin refused to give up his conquered land, a stand-off arose and the Ruskies tried to take over the world with their mad ideas and the U.S. took it on themselves to be the world's sole defender, using up its soldiers to rescue country after country from their communist bondages, as well as replacing naughty governments with even worse governments "whoops?". These slaves of the UN brought the Ruskies into an arms race that crashed their economy and ended the Cold War. The Ruskies, after many dormant years, decided to elect an old comrade as their dicta- President/ Prime Minister dude, but quickly switched him for a like-minded individual, when people started to uncover a crazy communist background. They secretly attacked Georgia and with smiles tried to appease everyone "We made a line and promised not to cross it... and we haven't!" Of course they kept pushing the line farther and farther into Georgia. The Ruskies found it in their best interests to annihilate the military forces and civilians, but that just made Gun-happy Wild George Bush, Jr. crazy. He left his dear Chinese friends to demand that the Ruskies stop their senseless violence and demands them to sign treaties to make them stop. Shocked

Question, Theoretically: Given the history of the Ruskies and our successes in the last century, should we help the Georgians? (man, if it were our Georgians, they could take on all of Russia single handedly!).

Question, Biblically: Biblically speaking, what should we do?

Stay out of it unless it poses a direct threat or hazard to our nation and assets.

Indeed, I say let them be, for God judges nations and I fear that we many times interfere in matters that don't concern us, making things worse. True, I say that if they do put us at risk, we need to get involved, but I don't see why we owe it to Georgia to give them aid and think that aid should not be given unless Georgia's government specifically begs us for aid. If they ask the UN or NATO for aid, let the UN or NATO with their non-U.S. forces help them. Who died and made us kings of the universe? I fear that is someone else's job. Very Happy

The Georgia-Russia Conflict Empty Re: The Georgia-Russia Conflict

I think America has been a little too helpful to everyone else without paying attention to themselves. We need to take care of our immigration problem from Mexico etc. before we even consider these other nations. A governments first and perhaps only responsibility is the safety of it's own citizens not others.

I have heard mixed tales about Georgia, the most recent of which claim Georgia is a christian nation. If Georgia is in fact a christian nation, we might want to reconsider our previous thoughts. We don't want our christian brethren to be snuffed out like the remnant of the christian population that once resided in Iraq and Afghanistan. I completely agree with Greenleaf however. I think we should send all the troops in the middle east to our southern border or send all new troops to the southern border. We are being invaded.
